"AFTER SCHOOL ENRICHMENT"
After
School Enrichment is a six week program for first and second grade
students that runs in late winter at Penn London. It is organized by the
PTA and offers a wide variety of after-school classes, including
languages, sports, crafts, cooking and much more! The classes are held
once a week for 45 minutes from 3:30 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. All classes will
run on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays starting January 31, 2012 and
ending March 8, 2012 (unless we have some snow make-ups).
There
are varying fees associated with each class to cover student
registration and specific material expenses. The 2012 course schedule
and registration form was sent home via backpack mail.
The packet included detailed class descriptions and class fees.

PICKUP REQUIREMENTS: Pickup is at 4:15 p.m and follows normal car pick-up line policies. Parent(s) / Guardian(s) MUST
send in a dismissal note indicating their child is staying after school
for their After School Enrichment class. Please write the name of the
person authorized for student pick-up each week on the dismissal note.

Over 170 students are enrolled in ASE classes.
As a reminder, please be aware of the following:

A note for dismissal is required every week for each ASE class a
student attends. Faxes, email and voicemail mesages will not be
accepted.

The student car line pick-up procedure is in effect for dismissal.
Procedures are in accordance with Avon Grove School District Policies
904 and 907.

We understand that the car line can get very long...thank you for
waiting patiently. Please pull up in a timely manner and keep the
passenger side of your car clear. This helps your child get into their
seat quickly and safely.

Prior to dismissal, a volunteer walks around to the first 30 cars
and records the names of those students on a clipboard. The students
are placed in that order once they arrive in the lobby.

It's important that all parents are courteous and take their place
at the end of the car line. When you enter the school parking lot from
796, please continue straight through the T intersection (if an
excessive amount of cars are in line and the line wraps around the
school)
and get in line after the last car. This line will form toward the back
of PLE, looping around the parking lot towards the normal bus line in
the back of the school...(see pic below for pickup line flow)...

Please remember that when school is cancelled or dismissed early due to
weather conditions, ASE is cancelled.
