Welcome to PLE's PTA

Welcome to the website of the Penn London Elementary Parent Teacher Association. We hope that you find this site to be a useful source of information concerning PLE PTA activities, membership, volunteer opportunities, and issues impacting Penn London Elementary and the Avon Grove School District. We encourage everyone to play an active role in the education and success of their child! The PLE PTA invites all PLE parents to become members, and encourages attendance at the meetings to become a part of the decision making process. To learn more about what we do, please view our Welcome Letter or Welcome Letter - Spanish.

You can also join our Facebook Page. https://www.facebook.com/groups/473460969381848/

The PLE PTA invites you to join with us to support our children's educational activities. When you join the PTA you are supporting our efforts for a better school. You also make a commitment to be part of a strong school community of students, parents, teachers and administrators. Volunteering is not mandatory as a PTA member. You may choose your level of involvement. We greatly appreciate any and all parental participation. This year we we are opting for online membership. Please click the link to fill out the google form AND pay your $10 membership due to our Venmo account @PLE-PTA (look for the Penn London Panda logo!)

If you are on the fence about joining, please read 10 Myths about joining the PTA or 10 Myths about joining the PTA (Spanish).

PTA Volunteers

The success of the PLE PTA programs is directly dependent on our volunteers. We have so many opportunities for you to volunteer. Each year we ask parents to contribute as little or as much time as possible. Activities can be done outside normal school hours, at home or at school. Any time you can volunteer is appreciated and benefits your child as well as the school. Research shows students do better when their families are involved at home and at school. Grades are higher. Test scores rise. Self-esteem grows. Schools improve. Please take a moment to review the Volunteer Interest Form or Volunteer Interest Form (Spanish) and indicate any areas that you might be interested in helping. We ask that the forms be returned by September 18, 2016, but you can volunteer at anytime.

All volunteers must have appropriate clearances on file with the school in accordance with Avon Grove School District's Board Policy No. 916. You may also refer to the FAQ for Volunteers on the district website for more information.
