Examples of Volunteer Work Students Can Perform in their PTAs/PTSAs:

Assist the officers and committee chairs

Support events as a:

Greeter

Usher

Technical assistant (i.e. coordinate the setup and management of presentations, videos, microphones, sound, etc.)

Presenter and assistant to presenters

Provide virtual meetings/events support

Serve as a workshop speaker or trainer

Serve as an advisor or consultant on the PTA board and/or a committee, voicing students’ issues, concerns, viewpoints or perspectives

Speak at school board, county or state legislation meetings on behalf of the PTA

Manage and update the PTA website

Publish approved social media posts on the PTA’s social media channels
